Can someone please bring a couple of wheels out to the GS Nats for Rusty. I sold him a couple of wheels and with shipping more than the cost of the wheels we were hoping someone can take them to the Nats. I might be going to Yardley's picnic in May if I get my car out of the garage. If I can get them to the picnic can someone bring them the rest of the way.

    Thank you,
    Bob

Rusty have you guys tried DHL ground ? They usually beat UPS by half. I sent 4 wheels to California for 52.00. I use the DHL at my local Office Max

I just checked DHL and it is a little bit cheaper. I am not sure if I want to use them again. I sent a couple of packages through them and they could not even spell my name right or get my address right. Then they were trying to charge me for an extra package. I am really hoping someone on this board can help.

    Thanks,
    Bob

I know about the service. I use a DHL at my Office Max and only a couple of the employees know what they are doing. The last gal that helped me did a shippment and the cost ofr shipping a steering collumn was 175.00. I said you must have made a mistake so she gets the manager and I specifically said reg ground. She has me for Air freight next day delivery by 9am. Turned out costing me 11.00. All good just took a few extra min. Good luck finding someone to bring them down.

Bob, If you can get them to the Outer Banks of North Carolina I'll take them to BG. I'm sure you know someone coming this way to go Drum fishing in April. If they are coming to the OBX they drive right by me.

Alan, Thanks for the offer. I don't know anyone heading in your direction. I really love the area you are in. The last time I was down there we had our week long vacation shortened by 5 days. Hurricane Felix came within 100 miles of the outer banks.

I think I will find someone going to the NATS.

I will try and get the 66 ready for the picnic!!!!!!!!!!!

I am in a bind right now. I need to get the car I bought from Artie years ago back together and running. My town voted Monday on a new law that will allow the town to fine you right away for a inoperable car. The old law was to allow 30 days. I am not sure what they decided on and I am trying to be very low key. I also have a 72 Skylark that is not on the road. The 72 needs a bunch of work, but I think I could put it on the road fast. The 66 from Artie has a leak in the gas tank and the whole front nose is off the car. I have a pair of 67 fenders I want to use, but the heels need repair. I don't want to toss them on without repairing them. The car has not been started in 4 years and was running bad than. I am going to get it running today and might have someone come and look at the fenders today.

I just got some bad news :ball: :ball: :ball:

My uncle passed away and I might not make Carlisle at all.

I just saw him on Saturday at Englishtown Swap Meet. I was really hoping that he was going to get back into the old cars. He had tons of knowledge and built some nice cars over the years. He was away from the old cars for 5 plus years. I will really miss him!!!!!!!

I will find out in the next day or two what is going to happen. I might make Carlisle on Friday or I will try and find a way to get them to Yardley's.

    Thanks for all the help,

    Bob
