Has anyone else received the 70 rear bumper name plate that they ordered from Year One. Here are some pictures of it. It not absolutely perfect but it is nice. Larry Pic #1
Last Pic It doesn't have the part number on the back, but you'll never see it anyhow after it's installed. Larry
Larry, Have you installed it yet? Just wondering how the fit is on it. I'm seriously thinking about ordering one. I must say the look is VERY good. Could you post some pics after install? Thanks- Eddie
Looks pretty good in the pictures Larry. Aside from not having the part # stamped in it, what else did you not like about it?
I ordered this several weeks ago when it was first posted on v8buick that Year One had them available. I called the next day and ordered one but they were back ordered. I believe someone on the board posted that they had bought the last several in stock. I paid $170.10 plus 14.50 shipping. Skylarkroost, This probably won't be installed for quite awhile. I've got a long ways to go on the convertible before it's ready for the bumpers again. buick64203, The only defects that I found are minor. There is a spot on the left side on the emblem in the black painted part that isn't real smooth under the paint but you have to be real close to see it. Also, there are a couple of spots in the raised chromed edges where it appears that the metal didn't fill the mold completely. Once again, you have to look very close to see them All in all, a nice reproduction. By the way, the part # is: YO70GSBNP Larry
70 Bumper Plate Got mine today. If it looked any better, it would look fake! I can't imagine any NOS piece with less flaws then anything I can find. I also will not be installing it for a while but as long as it fits, I'm real happy. Maybe the price gouging on the NOS units will now stop.
