Went to the Barrett Jackson auction as usual. And I can tell you that Buicks have definitely gone up in value over the last few years. Saw some nice cars go for decent money.

I am going to post alot of pictures here of the event. Once I wake up out of the stupor I am in after a week of the auction.

Kewl. . . The rustang mopig show:bla: Just kiddin I appreciate all cars nice pics, I watched a lot of them roll across the block. I suck at guessing the bid prices though, closest I got was 4K away from the sale price on one. I bid on about 10:Dou:

4K away from the highest bid price is very close!! I'm taking you with me next time!! I think you never know what to expect and can only get a general idea.

It kind of works both ways, if you go over to the Boss 429 forums, everyone is complaining about why the Boss 9's didn't get to 400K like last year. In reality those cars last year were over priced and if you asked the same people last year about prices, they were astatic beyond belief at how much they got for those cars. People are always expecting more. I thought the prices were good this year and more reflective of what cars should be getting.

I saw original Hemi cars going for 160-250K, that only a few years ago were 500-750K cars! But was that price a real sustainable price??? I guess not. But that doesn't stop people from thinking ALL HEMI cars should be 750K cars.

The Buicks did pretty good this year, them and the Pontiacs went up in value, in talking with some of the "heavy hitters" they have collected all the Mopars and Boss 9 cars they need, and sometimes look for something else that they wouldn't normally collect. So if they are not buying the Hemi cars anymore, those prices come down, and the cars that they are buying can go up in value somewhat.

Although I am not a heavy hitter in the sense that I don't spend millions upon millions on cars, I do have 20 muscle cars. As an example I have 2 Buick Stage 1 GS cars. Which I drag race, unlike the trailer queen guys. But do I really need another one a different color??

Thanks Loon, Amy is actually a very nice woman, and looks much better in person than on TV. She was signing autographs for hours on end, took no breaks, and was signing until the auction closed on Sunday! Shes great.

You've got a smirk on your face like you're cheating on your wife.

Great pics. Thanks for sharing them. Be careful though, Ford owns all the pics of Fords from what I've read lately. So don't go making a calendar or poster with any of them.

Barrett Jackson was a public venue and (in the absence of any other agreement or restriction) the pics taken there by a person (patron/public) are the property of the photographer ... so sayeth the Supreme Court ... as long as the use or reproduction is private and non-commercial in nature. I think he's safe.

    Those are some great pics.
