I have a John Deere lawnmower with a diesel when I first bought it I thought great I can use off road diesel as there is a local station that sells it
here in Washington state they had so much sales tax on it it was actually cheaper to buy on road diesel and just pay the fuel tax

Anything that has to do with fuel to burn in Anything has gone thru the roof. what do these people think we are going to do ride a damn horse and wrap in tons of clothing and blankets to keep warm. YES

Only the rich bastards can buy into this crap and you all get to suffer, because if anyone thinks we all can go out and buy 40-75,000$ electric crap is out of their minds. Then go over here and buy a 300,000$ house at 5% interest and the house looks like crap and are all the same color and style.

The ruler of this great land pretty much said it yesterday that the high price of gas is to get YOU off fossil fuels.

Race gas 110 is 9.65 at Rockies by Barberton High school, Ohio

    Electric car. Yeah right :D:D:D:D

Look to China for the future: subway, scooter, cycle, and sneakers.

It's 50k for a drivers license over there. Only the elite drive/ride in cars. Maseratis, Buicks, and Teslas

We're in a "transition". A journey in other words. The destination is pre-determined. 95% won't be in a car. Emphasis in the period.

I just filed a police report for my van getting vandalized over the weekend. Some wonderful individual smashed my locking gas cap & ran a tube through what's left of the stem to steal my gas. Found out about it yesterday when I went to the Costco to top off...87 Octane there is $5.37/gallon.

I think you mean the costs of a license plate for a car running on petrol or diesel in a city like Shanghai?
    But even that's "only" US$ 14,230, not "50k":

In Shanghai, people still more than willing to pay $14,230 to get a fuel license plate

The driver of our Buick minivan in Shanghai said 50k (2017). I don't know how you can disprove that since it is an auction system. Just sharing what I observed.

Boy this sucks.. you know something is wrong when your out running errands, and the gas in the town your in is $4.32/gallon.. and you just pump in 5 gallons to get you home.. where you can't fill your suburban up, with one $125 credit authorization...

Getting excited about 4.09/gallon.. filling up "while it's cheap" at that price...talk about societal conditioning..

3 years ago, anyone trying to charge such a price would have been at the mercy of the masses with torches and pitchforks..

Now we just bow our heads like sheep and take it.

    Ain't right..

Max Damage I'm working on it!

It's primarily related to the shutdown of older unimproved refinery capacity during COVID (remember the lack of demand?) that has no replacement now that the demand has bounced back. At least five years to bring modern refinery capacity back on line. This applies to diesel as well.

To be fair, many activists, inside and outside of the gov, have stated their desire for expensive gasoline, to help foster their ideology. Some have stated prices as high as $11/gallon would be helpful.

So when circumstances and market forces combine to drive up prices, they are not going out of their way to foster domestic production, that would in fact stabilize the market, and bring prices back down. Oh sure, a little window dressing here and there, in a desperate attempt to keep their jobs... Domestic production is exactly why prices were flat from 2016-2019, while demand was at all time highs, due to a roaring economy. We were a net exporter of oil, and not at the whims of the dictators and oil princes of the middle east.

And how crazy is it that we have not built a new, substantial capacity distillation refinery in this country since 1977. While many have been expanded since then, one would think entire new facilities, with updated equipment and "new pipe" would be beneficial to us all.

It shut down due to covid, and many were happy about it. Now the Govt is going hat in hand saying can't you bring those plants back on line to mitigate the cost of fuel. They went hat in hand to Saudi Arabia, and were told to go **** in their hat. And we the public pay the price twice once for our own fuel, and we pay theirs as well.

The $125 credit limit drives me crazy as I can't fill an empty tank on that. Sometimes when you try to run the same card it gets rejected and you have to pull out different one. I try not to let the truck get below half to eleviate that problem. Problem is gonna get worse as the price rises.
