I’d go $2500.00 like it or not.

Yep, $2500 is top of the mark for what's left there.
Time to go back over there and wait in the shadows for like 15 minutes after Jason shows up in his Buffalo NY DMV Auto Inspector uniform and clipboard and informs the owner that since he cannot produce a title and since he is in actual physical possession of said vehicle with altered cowl tags that he may be subject to $10,000 in fines and up to 13 months in jail cleaning Bubbas toilet.
Price should drop significantly OR you might even make a profit as he tries to unload that hot potatoe:eek::D:D:D!!!
Sorry got to post my hillbilly photoshop of Jason again!:D:D:D:p:D:D:D IMG_2895.JPG

Rare car that can be fixed these days.

Definitely an ambitious project and quite the undertaking but the color scheme is cool. I bet it looked sharp during it's younger years.

    Seller needs a reality check.

Totally..last night he said he wasn't even going to relist it because he has received so much attention and just entertaining offers. He wouldn't even consider offers close the $2500 I purposed.... and I'm 2o minutes away and can have it out of there pretty quick.

Just looking at it as parts, there's more than $2500 there in parts.

Those who think they're sitting on gold, when they're really sitting on a giant pile of rust are a detriment to the preservation of these rare cars.

    What was the asking price?

It sold for $5995. I don't know what the starting bid was or if it was a buy it now.

But the 4 speed set up alone is probably worth $2500. Add up the rest of it- the GS hood, air cleaner, B4B intake, good used 455 core, buckets, dash pad, etc..

I thought it was a Craigslist car.

I agree it's worth what you say in parts. It's just a shame when people sit on stuff like that trying to squeeze the quarter so hard the eagle screams.

The yellow eBay car was in better shape but I was never going to have $50K to restore it.

Apparently, Sawzall Mike didn't either but in retrospect, those parts aided in completing other cars that were close.

A means to an end, I guess.

The eBay pictures didn’t show the extent of the rust. It had a buy it now of $5995.00,and when the buyer actually put eyes on it,he left without it. Yes,it is worth a little more than $2500.00 in parts, but my time isn’t free. I have to haul it,part it,cut it up,and finally put it out of its misery. All of the metal parts are rusty,so parts like the hood, fenders, doors, radiator support, and any other desirable body parts, are pretty much junk. You have a drivetrain, buckets, interior goodies, and a few other pieces. The shifter is missing. Not a deal-breaker,but it will take a few bucks to get one.
The bigger downer is the lack of title. Nobody in their right mind will sink a dime in that car, without have a clean title in their name. Acquiring a title for a car that doesn’t have one is becoming more difficult and costly as time goes on.

Actually, he accepted an offer on ebay for $5,500... then the guy drove all the way from Mass looked at it and turned back and went home. So it didnt sell as of yesterday. In regards to parts. There is only the muncie, no shifter, no bell housing, z bar rusted pretty bad. All linkage shot.

Probanly a good column, gauges, speedo, bucket cores, hood was in a fire.... bumpers are both pretty bad, frame bad... doors driver, fenders need patches, drivers dented pretty good, actually really stretching it at $2,500.... olus there is no title/ny registration which could be a problem to save the shell.

I'm living that nightmare right now.....and we're a pretty easy state to get along with here in Montana. Buying a car from a state that doesn't require titles and only a bill of sale and moving the car to one that requires titles should be about 3000 times easier than they make it. I will avoid doing it again like the plague. I can't imagine myself going through the hassle again.

Garbage there.I feel you would struggle to get 2500.00 out of the parts. Remember too far gone is still too far gone..A good donor is all that is.I have parted way nicer ones years ago

Maybe if we all contact him separately, and offer him the same $2500.00. Maybe a light will come on.

Problem is he being a Mopar guy is that they would pay 20 grand if it was a big block turd Cuda so he figures he is giving that GS away at his price.
