Head gaskets are cheap why not just put new ones on instead of taking a chance?

I would re use them personally

  3. I’m not going to reuse. Any suggestions on which gasket is best to use for this 1969 engine. I was able to purchase A factory NOS head set from eBay. Should I be using something different.

Any gasket is fine. I think it’s only victor reinz or fellpro for options.

Get new gaskets the other ones were in there wrong and they have taken a set with the head to block. You want a new leak put the old ones back in. Cheap insurance get new ones.

My car is back on the road as of this past Tuesday. Runs great & no leaks.

The NOS Head set will likely come w/steel shim head gaskets. I used them on my last 350 build as part of the package to get the compression up to 10.5. The heads were milled but the block wasn't - Just checked and was probably w/in .001" flat. They'll up your compression vs. the Fel Pro.
