My name is Andrew and I am using my dad, Frank's account to ask for some information on a car I've always wanted. The only problem is, I don't even know if it exists. I have looked around quite extensively for this particular car, and I was hoping some of ya'll might help me. Here is the car I'm looking for

C5 Corvette- specific year doesn't matter
    z06
    Black exterior
    light oak interior

    options and mileage don't matter.

Any information on how to find how many (if any) of this specific car produced would be helpful, thanks!

Thats quite a car for a young guy Andrew! Its a rocket ship. Just dont get in trouble with it.

The 2001-2004 Z06 Vettes are relatively rare as far as Corvettes go. Combine that with a specific color like black (they made 1100 Black Z06's in 04 for example) And narrow it down with a specific interior color, your really looking for a needle in a haystack.

If I were you, I would think about compramising on the interior color maybe. Tan interiors are a real pain to keep clean anyway. Just a thought.

My best advice is to keep combing Ebay and Craiglist. Im sure your car is out there. Im sure one will show up eventually. Might take a while though. Just dont give up.

"Patience young Skywalker," it took me almost 3 years to find my first Stage 1 Convertible and I didn't care about colors. IIRC, there is a C5 owners forum on one of the Corvette club sites. I'd spend some time poking around there and join the local Corvette club too.

That's how I learned about the C4's when it first came out and we were looking for one. When my dad the bought it in 12/1987 it had 781 miles on it(Built 3/86.) The original owner had purchased the car for his wife and I think she scared herself in the car and parked it. She was much more comfortable with the Mercedes 450 SEC.

My 1986 C4 is old, tired and slow with a lot of issues, but for now it my daily driver due to my Audi S6 being in the bodyshop for the first time due to a freight truck hitting it in the parking lot at work.

    Try hankshelper.com and ownster.com.

Hankshelper.com let you look at Ebay. Craigslist, Autotrader. Cars.com and Oodle. Ownster has a similar feature.

You can also try Hemmings.com and Corvetteforum.com. I have even done a search on google for z06 for sale and see what comes up.

I agree with Jason, If you want a Z06 you will be looking for a 2001-2004 Corvette. Note the 2001 Z06 has less horsepower than the 2002-2004 and hence cost a little less.

Is there any reason you are looking for a Z06 specifically? I know I want want for the fixed roof. They also had a fixed roof coupe in 1999 and 2000.
