OK - - We haven't shaken things up in a while on this board. Let's change that ....... :Brow:

I've got EVERYONE's numbers that have Certified - - to date. I WILL NOT post individual numbers UNLESS the owner gives me the "ok" to do so. I'm tryin' to figure out the best "presentation method", so bear with me. :TU:

To kick it off, I'll post my official Certified numbers, as measured in 2003 when I Certified my 1970 Olds F85 W-31 350/325.

I use washers on my head bolts. Brings the heads up just a tad higher to make it look like I've got less stroke. :puzzled:

No.....no different specs for Mercury. Although they have a 14:1 compression engine listed as a 425hp with the same heads and carbs as listed for mine. Hmmmm

There are some differences yes and if you look you will also see some omissions in the NHRA listing. There is not a gasket thickness or valve relief volume listed......even though the factory engine had both....

So, some of the items had to be sorted through and agreed upon with the P/S officials.

that 14.1 is the hi riser head ?

the valve relief was the big thing that caught my eye , i was wondering how you got that to fly ...

They list a 14:1 425 with the high riser heads note 5 and a 14:1 with the low riser note H. Dan put the kibash on the domed 14:1 engine....

I have the factory slugs with the part number in them, flattops with as forged valve reliefs. I wanted to use them but they were cracked in the oil ring grooves.
