OK V8 Buick People: "Yard Pros" is really an accurate description. If a collector type car comes in at the local yards here in Northern California the "Yard Pros" are on it like a big dog.

In the early 90's the Mitsubisi 2.6 cylinder head and the similar size Escort head were like gold. You could see the people sniffing them out in the staging area before they were put in the line. I know a guy that gets rear ends out of cars. If he's pressed for time he hides the pinion gear making the whole thing useless for anybody else.

I personally like going once every two-three years. To play that game on a daily basis would give me a dang coronary! I've had much better luck making relationships with local yards. When I was in business I'd call, get a great price and they would deliver. I would pay by company check and if there was ever a problem they would take care of it.

So, if anyone wants to get cheap parts from the local pick you had better know what you're doing because doing business with them is like ....you figure it out. Mitch

chris roesch Say what again, i dare u

I have a great relationship with my local yard. Sometimes I get to the counter with a wheel barrow full of parts from the pre 80's section of the yard, they tell me to load it into my truck and keep it quiet.
