Whoops sorry. But yeah, my Grandfather is now 69 so that would of put him in his early 20's when that was going on.

I'm curious what some of the non-pure stock guys thought of the cars?
Stuff like, "Your racing on THOSE tires?!?"

Chris - on the W31 - BONDO (body filler.) Since it can fill a body, you can eat while you work (nuk nuk nuk!)

Anybody beat or at least keep up with any modern stuff?

Out of the 6 or so guys parked next to us only one knew what a SC/Rambler was and who made it. He did ask about the Poly Glass tires. I told him about the PSMCDR and he was very interested in it. Told him that their car would not pass tech. Sorry no slicks, no NOS, no demon carb you get the idea. He did take about ten pictures of the car.

Not sure what kind of cars the son was paired with on all of the runs, but he sure had a big smile after the first run when he beat that newer Hemi Charger.

looking at the stripes on the ground behind the car, having the picture taken about 5 feet earlier would have been really sweet.

Since we didn't make it to US41, I was talking to J Lerum about trying Byron this weekend, weather permitting.

Hey Chris if you go this weekend can you pull me down the track on my wakeboard? I don't think there will be any record runs with all this rain. This weather is terrible!

Congrats going out to Steve Arp "Arpie".

Learned through the grape vine that you pulled a personal best out today,on ET and 60',with your sneak attack at Byron Raceway .

    Way to go Steve. !!!:TU:

Thanks. I ran a 12.71 @ 106.65 with a 1.90 60 ft. time. I ran some slower times trying to figure out the best launch technique.

It was a nice day and not too crowded.

I still have quite a way to go to catch Jim's LS6.

Congratulations Steve with your time at Byron. 12.71 is real good. That's the way to keep the cob webs out of her!
