There are probably twice as many red muscle cars in the world than were originally created by the muscle car gods! Keep the same or go with something unique. 1970 aqua mist with a white top is the smokinist GS I have ever seen! I have a Burnished Cinnamon 71 that has grown on me over the years. I plan on keeping it the same but I still get silly when I see Aqua Mist.

    Lots of good comments here,
    BUT.... I love Bamboo Cream!!
Those classic earth tones just scream "seventies" to me.
Nothing is meaner than a quiet looking GS painted Bamboo cream or Burnished Brown-especially with saddle brown vinyl top-It just fits the reserved classy sleeper performer that the '70 455 cars are.
Nothing is more fun than blowing away some brand x muscle with your Grandma color "skylark". People can't believe it.
Anyways, paint it whatever makes you happy-I'd stick with a factory color though.
I just had to voice some support for the "earth tones" :TU:
(But I will admit- EVERY car ever made looks best with a perfect BLACK paint job!!!)

I vote for silver mist... it looks great on the 70-72 cars. It would be perfect with black interior.

    my two cents

Im not a body expert, but this is what i know from experience. I agree with the above posts about keeping the earth colors, its totally buick. I like the brown better than the cream, but anyways. Black and Red are very bold colors, and make a statement. Whn doing black, you should consider the condition of ur body. For example, any wrinkles, bubles, dings or even the slightest scratch will stand out tremendously with black. But if its done right, the car will look flawless and amazing. Red however is a bit more forgiving. My freinds and i did the prep work on an investment car (69 bonneville). None of us were experts on it, so needless to say we screwed up big time, but still the red paint on it looks great (untill uget up close), very bold, very nice. What im trying to get at, is you need to consider factors like, body condition, ur personality, ur preference, etc.... Alot of ppl have done their cars in red and black, look up some of them, and see how you like the colors, that might aid in ur decision. Personally i love black, but i think u should keep the classy look alive.
