On or about July 23rd 2010 (Friday), I plan to take "half-the-$400," my 1987 Buick Regal (olds 307, th200-4, 7.5" limited-slip 3:08-geared rear), 1984 Buick T-type 10-bolt posi-rear w/3:42's, Chrome-moly GN driveshaft, my new D&S Buick462, my "built" th400 w/torque converter, and EVERY-SINGLE new part I bought for my Stage-1 Regal to the "SHOP." (I am paying for LIFT-USE/TOOL-USAGE and the help of the 2-Mexican shop workers)

REMEMBER; I DID THE BUICK 455/G-BODY THING 3-TIMES ALREADY ...
    but NEVER with LONG-STYLE HEADERS!!!:idea2:

On or about July 31 2010 (Saturday), I plan on driving my 90%-complete Stage-1 Buick 455 Regal from the "SHOP," and drive it straight to Meineke (already set everything up). Meineke's task is to complete my exhaust system from "header collectors" BACK, and inspect/correct our headers installation.

Theeeennn, I drive the Stage-1 Regal straight to "PONTIAC-ALLEY" so Tyrone & I can install my MSD-6AL-2 ... and inspect/correct ANY electrical mistakes we created at the "SHOP."

As soon as the MSD6AL-2 is installed ... I JUMP ON THE HIGHWAY WITH MY GIRL.

Each event will be video-taped and posted on Youtube under "nastechengineering7".

    SO-FAR-SO-GOOD!

In closing, around 12:30pm today, I am heading to the garage to wash the Regal & 10-bolt posi ... repaint the rear, empty the parts stored in my trunk, and take a few "pre-transformation pics" while the Buick is still ... NORMAL.:laugh::laugh: Then @ 3:30-pm, Tyrone is picking me up so I can add the 100-amp alternator, crank & water pump pullies, and the H.E.I.!

I am ordering the Griffin Dominator radiator next week Monday ... and of course ... INSTALLING THAT MYSELF AS WELL. :kodak:

What car is your blown motor in? Where did you have it built?

I HAVE OCD-on-Axis-2; I have every stitch of info on EVERYTHING from time-frame to pricing. Certain info ... I just DON'T mention:laugh:.

Additionally, if you want a BUICK-BUILDER that KNOWS Buick ...

Daniel Smith at D&S Performance in Camden NJ (1-609-841-1552).

If you want an immediate reply ... text him. My issue with Dan was "MY-ISSUE" ... an issue of ANXIETY-ATTACKS transformed into ANGER and OCD/DEPRESSION:Do No:. (LOL) D&S Performance is the ONLY place (near) I will EVER have touch a Buick 455 of mine.

I am sure there are other Buick-builders somewhere near ... I just know not of any.

    Good-Luck WITH everything.:3gears:

... partially bolted on the TA-Headers today, and finally bolted-up the TA-water-pump (stainless steel bolts). The 100-amp alternator gets bolted up Wednesday ... prior to the TRANSFORMATION this Friday. I am waiting on the TA-flex-plate ... so the tranny & 10-inch converter gets bolted-up Monday.

The '87 Olds 307/radiator, TH200-R4 tranny/stock shifter, stock drive-shaft, stock 7.5-inch 3:08-rear, aftermarket (rusty/leaking) 2-1/2" true-duals, stock fuel lines/tranny lines, and the Pontiac steering-wheel (got the Regal with it. I already have a '84 Buick turbo-Regal steering wheel ... that I customized) goes to THE GARBAGE this Friday.:TU::TU:

I wen to the garage today and washed my Regal, and emptied out the trunk. I removed the original trunk carpeting ... and found that the Regal's trunk area still looks good. I am replacing the carpeting next month.:)

I got annoyed when I saw the rust beginning to form on my headers. This was the first time they had been ... outside. The rust took only 2-weeks to begin showing!

LAST PICS TILL FRIDAY. lol :TU::TU::TU:

I dont have much experience with bbb regals but it will probably be easier to install the engine with the headers off. Good Luck with the install

That looks like raw steel. What would you expect. Any moisture in the air would cause rust.

Agreed. Without a protective coating from the header's supplier or an aftermarket source for a coating, their lifetime will be very short.

Here's why I will never recommend this builder. Yes, it's the same "D & S".

AIIIGHT! I remember Mr. Gessler. We spoke a few years ago when Pee-Gee built my 1st Buick 455. Once Greg found out that Scotty was doing my 455, he said, "Scotty is building your 455??? Scotty IS THE MAN when it comes to a Buick 455 ... just let him build your motor."
