Received word that Dennis passed away earlier this month. Dennis went by the handle BK455 and was out of Rhode Island. God speed, Dennis.
I'm sorry to hear that, George. I never got to meet him even though he lived in our area. My condolences to his friends and family. RIP Dennis, my Buick brother.
Dennis and I developed a friendship even though he lived 4 hrs away. He had been battling stage 4 prostrate cancer for several years. He always said his love of the cars is what kept him going. I had a conversation with him not that long before he passed and he was still upbeat. Then out of the blue I got a call from his son that he had passed. Another true Buick guy has left us.
Yes Dennis RIP,I pray the Lord to call you Upstairs .I was with him at the Nationals and we talked about the old times. He was at my house many times in the old day's and we always had a good time,as we did at the Nationals were we sat for many hours watching .Rest in piece old friend, may God be with you always. Bruno.
Sad news. I Met Dennis some years ago, A real Gentleman and very Knowledgeable Buick car guy. My Condolences. R.I.P.
It's always sad to hear of the passing of a member of the Buick "family." May his loved ones find comfort amid their grief.
Hello everyone, I’d like to thank Patrick Briggs for not only answering my barrage of questions about Buicks but to also let me know that Dennis Connell was a member of this website. I am the new owner of Dennis’ 1970 Buick Skylark and wanted to assure members of this website that the car will be in my family for sometime. It has been my dream to own a muscle car for the better part of 20 years and that dream has finally been realized (truth be told, I thought I would end up owning a Chevy but this Buick is unbelievable). It’s clear that Dennis put a lot of time, energy and planning into building this car and I could not be happier with it. The seller did not have much information on the engine build (compression ratio changed from 12.5 to somewhere in the 11-range from what he was told) and provided the receipts that were available. If anybody knew Dennis and the history of the car as well as any details I might be missing, I would welcome a conversation.
So sorry to hear about Dennis ! I knew he was sick when he was up to buy some parts last year. First time I met him was then , and could tell he was a great , knowledgeable Buick guy !!! The community Is def diminished by his passing !!R.I.P buddy
