Aftermarket underdash a/c? Know any swaps with later model cars for lesabre. Do any later model cars use underdash units?

In the precess of putting one in my Corvette (72). Seems straight forward. You need to have air to start with as they use some of the ductwork. I am sure you can make it work. There is probably not a specific unit for LeSabre but call Hot Rod Air and talk with them. They can probably steer you in the right direction.

There's also Arizona Mobile Air (www.ackits.com ) and Old Air Products (www.oldairproducts.com ) Both are excellent vendors.

Did your car have AC originally? If not, an add on is a very good option. If it had AC from the factory, it would probably be better to repair what's there. The OEM systems were awesome.

no this car never had air, I dont need heat at all here in Florida, I wonder if I could convert the heater core to an evaporator somehow... else I could add an external one and splice it into the existing blower duct somehow.

i have a 72 centurion parts car with aftermarket air, the car never had a/c from the factory but the passenger must have requested it after a few hot summer road trips. It bolts under the dash on the passenger side and has all the controls on the unit. It does not use any of the factory vents. The alternator had to be relocated (lowered) to accomodate the compressor and a condenser was added in front of the rad. It does not work now but I am considering refurbishing and adding it to my 69 wildcat (with black interior) if global warming trend continues.
