Just purchased a 1967 Buick GS400 convertible 4-speed. I damaged the passenger side window felt seals while replacing the power window motor since I had to remove the door glass. I am struggling finding the correct replacement window felts, especially ones with flat stainless steel trim on the outer window seal. The window felt molding on my car has a 3/16" flat stainless steel trim piece on the outer molding that rests on top of the door. It is secured to the door with 2 screws and 5 clips. I ordered a set made by Repops (PN BU121A) which are supposed to be for "special trim" GS-400 convertibles and they won't work. I've talked to tech support at Repops and they tell me the stainless part should be round (PN BU119A) I am totally lost on this matter. Can anyone tell me what the "special trim" option was on 1967 GS 400 convertibles as well as provide help on what I actually have (or should have). For the 1966 and 67 GS 400 convertible owners, would love a photo of your molding.

    Thanks!

The wide SS trim on the 66/67 Skylark/GS conv upper door was a little over 1 inch wide. The standard trim was round bead, not flat. It appears your trim has been replaced with flat bead.

Ok. That makes sense. Do you know if the round bead standard trim has a rubber lip that rests on the door top (extending beyond the steel bead)? My car was originally white (it's now red) and there is a little white still visible under where the flat stainless piece rests. The car was painted with the trim removed so I think I will be ok.

Yes, the round chrome outer bead had a rubber lip. Finding a set that fits, can be a problem, I had a set made for my 66 hardtop with the wide special trim. Restoration Specialties made them from a set I sent them. Do not remember if they listed a set of standard round bead for a conv.
