Door sag 75 Lesabre convert

My car has GM 2dr door sag. I do not see or feel a problem with hinge pins or bushings. Grab the door at far open edge and lift. Almost zero play. Can't rock the door up or down w/o shaking car.

Guy at local body shop quick looked at it. He had a tool that hooked into door latch. It pivoted on the striker pin. It had a long bar attached for him to tweak the hinges itself. Guy tweaked both doors a couple times. He also adjusted strike pin a bit inward. Anyway, it helped to the tune of a good 85%. The doors latch shut much better. Yet they still have a bit of a half-latched rattle sound over larger bumps and so forth.

Very honorable mention. Guy just did this for free. Waved me away when I asked what I owed.

    Question is:
Is there more that can be done here?

You can try adjusting the striker a bit more

It doesn't matter what you do, you'll always have a little rattle when the top is down, the car has an awful lot of flex built into it. Jason is right, the striker could be tweaked a bit more, but you have to be careful with that, park on a hill and your door may not open. It also doesn't help that those doors are 4 feet long and over 250 lbs; so keeping the hinges and pins in good shape and properly lubricated is important.

Thanks for the input. I have some new striker bolts on the way. Originals have a flat spot worn from door mis align. I'll bump the strikers in a tad more when I replace them.

Never use the door lift tool to raise a door. It will always sag again. Get the movement you need by adjusting the hinges. An experienced body man knows what I'm talking about. And yes correct new striker pins will stop the rattle.
