Just got charged 12% on selling a brochure. Crazy....

And why guitars only 3.5% and athletic shoes 0%???
    Makes no sense.

Somebody at EBAY has a guitar and athletic shoe collection?

They don't seem to understand that if fees are lower people will sell more because sellers won't have to raise prices to cover. I have to offer free shipping to compete.
Just sent a plastic model kit from MD to CT for over $15 shipping. Only 2lbs 3 oz...could have been less but I packed in a slightly larger box to protect it. USPS now uses dimensions to charge more. This was USPS zone 1. Imagine what it would be across the country!!!
Bottom line....there is none....lost money.....EBAY and USPS made money off me.

Then there are PAYPAL fees as well as final value fee on shipping cost that EBAY charges.
I stopped selling my Holley dominator air screens after I added it all up and was making 3 bucks without considering time and gas to pack and go to post office.

Just don't get caught doing this! It is illegal and will greatly upset the Post Office if they catch you. We had a guy get in big trouble doing this in our town. He was always coming in and getting the free Priority Mail boxes but when he came in to mail stuff, none of it was Priority Mail. The boxes were wrapped in plain brown paper. The Post Office did an investigation and discovered what he was doing.
With that said, people do it all the time. I get packages from ebay purchases and under the brown paper will be a Priority Mail box. Or the box will be a Priority mail box turned inside out.

I see people using the free boxes as packing material....

??? Ebay is a site for people to sell stuff to each other? It has nothing to do with China. Thanks for the nonsense. On the other hand, Walmart, Target and all of the dollar stores, are in the business of selling US consumers what they want. Poor quality cheap NEW crap made in China.

USPS flat rate boxes are great if you ship a lot of lead bars, regional rate boxes are the only ones I ever use.

Actually Ebay IS flooded with crap at low prices from China....have to wade thru it or just specify US only.

And the "sponsored" stuff bugs me both on Ebay and Amazon. You sort by lowest price but sponsored stuff is exempt.

I think the 0% fee on sneakers was done done a year or two ago to compete with sites like StockX. Sneaker reselling is a huge business.
