This is not the way to do it. Do it the right way only or clean only and use gaskets. I understand all that. It is funny how one question here can lead to all sorts of answers sometimes lol. It's okay though, i appreciate them all. Thanks.
At the time they were my machine shop so didn't want to alienate them since I was possibly going to use them again. Same thing happened with a crank. They balanced it (internal) and it cracked....they said it was junk and wanted me to pay the balancing cost. WTF? They ended up welding the crack for FREE. Still in the car to this day......like a thousand passes on it.....
There is no control on what you are doing. There is other equipment for this job to get it done the right way.
Old time shops have been using that technique for decades. I had mine done on a belt and it was perfect. Its all in the operator, as always!
