Hey everyone I am recently looking into purchasing a Transmission for my 1968 Buick skylark everything is stock it has the ST 300 I’m looking into getting a TH350 So update a little confused with the housing sizes does it matter which when I get because they come in 6” 9” 12” ext housing If anyone can help me out on this that will be great thank you
I've not swapped an ST300 but I assume in an A-body that they are similar length to the short tail shaft TH350. You will probably have to change the drive shaft if you get the longer tail shaft units.
A stock 68 72 from A body should fit right in without any thing also being different. In other words, just get one from a Skylark and it will fit like a glove.Bruno.
Short tail shaft th350 will swap in and use the same driveshaft. Did the same swap on my 66 Skylark years ago.
And saying short tail its 6" ryte? I recently found a th350 out of a 1970 Pontiac Firebird should fit right in right since its bop
