Has anyone reused their factory brake lines?

I have cleaned my factory brake lines on the front. The ones from the master cylinder to the distributor block and the one that goes from left to right.
I only had to bath them and scrub them gently they look like new without any pitting. No need to replace them.
(buying pre bent ones is no option for me as I am overseas).

They look like standard bare steel lines to me...were oversprayed with ugly black epoxy.
What do you guys use to coat them to have them look like bare steel?

I thought about some zinc or cold galvanizing spray. Used that before on daily driver mufflers and in my mechanic days.

    Any other ideas? :)
    What did the factory do?

Get real small. Then get a tiny flashlight and crawl through the inside of those 50+ year old lines and tell us what you see.

They might be all shiny and pretty on on the outside to the eye, but the evil that lurks where the eye cannot see.

Its not how they look on the outside . Its HOW they Look on the inside . Don't take that chance . Sooner or later you will LOSE . Make NEW lines . Your life depends on them .

Legit input. I have already replaced the lines on the rear axle and the one that goes from front to back.

But those from the master cylinder I will keep as they are super clean.

The brake lines always look like raw steel to me. If i where going to paint i would use like a silver zinc or cad paint. with that said i have access to to "inline tube" local so new stainless steel is what i've gone with.

I replaced all the brake lines in my '72 GS in the winter 2001-2002. They were not so bad on the inside but pretty bad on the outside due to the corrosion, especially where the lines had any 90* bends - very thin. 30 years of service not too bad. Purchased all the new lines from inline tube which was about 20 minutes from me, at the time.
