STAGE III Lost Experimental 455-4 Bolt Main Block.

I will have to switch to my phone to add pictures but was VERY happy to find a 1990 Scottsdale 2500 4x4 64,000 mile 350 TPI farm use plow truck.
Manual Windows, manual locks, non tilt, factory thick tan rubber cab floormat, factory Chevy 8 lug wheels, no weird geometry ruining yee haw lift kits just a nice low mile V-8, big glovebox (food tray with 2 cup holders) and the one creature comfort a/c that I WILL enjoy during the summer.
Also came with the complete Meyers(?) snowplow (yes,I know real handy down South lol but can probably grade the gravel driveway with it?)
I will be able to drive our property perimeter again, getting a camper topper so I can store my "GSX" parts in, instead of my cars loaded down interior I can't work in and shoot if it EVER does snow I could pick up some extra bucks clearing some parking lots.
Main thing is it just "has that look" to me at least.
Before & after pictures to follow, just got it this Thursday so been wrecking myself working on it while clearing out house for construction starting tomorrow, I am raaaaaaaagged out lol BUT smiling ! : )

    BEFORE HERR FRITZENSHIFTIN!

Needs throttle body rebuilt (already ordered $45 kit) fresh fuel & filter.Oh & the BLOWN “Y” manifold pipe! Has new muffler and dual outlet factory tailpipe.

VERY excited because now I can get rid of 4 other vehicles that this truck can do ALL of. She isn’t happy now (“GREAT another pos car!” Lol)but wife WILL be very happy to see the herd thinned! : )

Love the poached, extra, weirdo headlamps. Is there a 1989 Chevrolet Celebrity out there missing some illumination accoutrements?

The TBI trucks are pretty simple. It'll run a long time. Keep a fuel pump in stock!

Wow......I was looking up the Meyers Snow Plow site to see if I could get a new sticker for it and couldn't believe the price of these plows. That 2k was very low as this one has side tilt and Meyer cab controls (read reviews on the "remote key fob" version that folks said is not dependable or easily actuated).

Too bad I'd have to drive a few hundred miles to find any snow! Lol

I honestly got where I am partially because of my 91 GMC 2500, $1900 no rust! It was bone stock and worn out when I got it. I drove it for 12 years and spent $4000 on repairs but it never broke down on me. I made to roughly 800,000 in work over those years, this truck made me money.

I rebuilt the engine, trans, rear etc and it was a super reliable truck. It wasn’t fancy, no power features, but it got the job done and it was normally only $50 or less to fix any issues that came up.... The fuel pressure regulator in the TBI was the only thing that I had trouble diagnosing.

ps you can use a paper clip to find the codes the computer is showing.

It's pretty easy to tell you don't get much snow where you live.
Those lights are standard with plow mounts. The plow blocks the factory headlights.
