Couple months ago I bought 4 Dextera A/T from Walmart, made in USA
They roll like a ball bearing on glass

I have put Douglas all seasons from WalMart on our cars for years without any issues. They are a great economy tire that works for us. I know there are much better tires but our budget doesn't allow for those. We're also not putting 20-30k or more a year on our cars so it's not as big of a deal for us.

    Today's response:
"We can advise that we've been asking the Warranty Team for an update every day of the past week; they did advise every single time that they're likewise continuously calling the Firestone inspection team (working with/as the supplier) for an update and, as of Today, there is no update or closure yet."

Called Firestone...they say warranty is handled by seller. Seller says it is handled by manufacturer. Like stuck in a circle.....

How long can it take to evaluate ONE tire?? They have had the tire for over a month. Apparently a whole lot longer than it takes to make it and sell it.......

My General snow tires were made in Russia in late 2021. No issues. I was definently surprised to see where they were made. As far as bad tires go, unless you immediatly have issues and immediatly return to the seller, it is usually a huge pita to deal with.

I have to say any decent retailer would do SOMETHING to make it right for you on the ground. Whether that's giving you a better tire, or giving you your money back...

It was pretty much right away. I mounted the tire myself and static balanced it on my bubble balancer. Ran it and noticed bad vibration right away. Took it into a shop to spin it and saw it hopping. They tried to balance it. Took lots of weight. Still hopping. Took video and got statement from shop. Used it a total of maybe 50 miles.

I guess if I bought it from a tire store (not online) they would have just given me another tire and deal with Firestone themselves.
For years I've bought used tires on EBAY with no issues but now with shipping it is hardly worth it.
I need to use my truck to deliver a trans and pick up a block from a machine shop....but been siting over 2 months now.
Whatever happened to "customer service" and why the heck do I have to talk to someone in f-ing India to try to resolve this???

There is a lot of value in shopping at a brick and mortar store. This is a perfect example.

Just bought 4 Mastercraft tires for the truck when the studded snows come off . I've had mastercrafts for the last 2 sets of Snows on the truck and they were great .

Just so you know Cooper bought out Mastercraft and after a lull finally started making them again . Cooper has 4 Plants in the US . The tires I just bought were made in Ohio . Shipped to CT until I bought them . The date code on them is June of 2022 .

I have bought B F Goodrich A T tires in the past . The last set I bought required 42 OZ on one tire . This is how the tire store returned the vehicle to me . I only noticed it when I got home . 2 days later after fighting with the tire store they agreed to get another tire . They didn't see any problem with that much weight on a tire . A$$HOLES !!

The other tires I have that have issues are Primewells that I found out is owned by Bridgestone/Firestone and made in China. They are on my Roadmaster wagon....look like normal tread but HOWL like a BANSHEE! I just live with it.....half deaf anyways.....

I am lucky, I have a “Mom & Pop” fourth generation auto parts, service & tire shop four miles from my house. They do excellent work and always beat online prices for tires.

    Update:
Called North American Tire Traders in Dallas where they told me to send tire. A guy answers and says "yes?" Very professional, right?
I say is this North American Tire Traders? He says no Mexico Tires Direct in Mexico City. He said he will call Dallas office and get back to me.
We will see if that happens.......

    Yes sir!
Online is a crap shoot, kinda like having martians drop off stuff overnight then go back to Mars, who, what, where if there’s an issue???

I hate when me, myself and I have to play phone receptionist for the company I’m calling!

Hope it’s legit and not an automated blanket reply for warranty customers

    Just kidding....
Looked up Tires Home and it is a little tire store in Mexico. They handle warranty for Firestone?

Got a text from ACAXOCHITL, HD....apparently some place in Mexico "you was trying to reach for a solution to your tire?"
    I responded yes.....no response.

I called Firestone again and they said the way it is supposed to work is that tire must be sent to them and a credit would go out to Priority Tire then they would either refund or send another tire. They asked what the issue with tire was and I said vibration and out of round. They said that would definitely be covered by warranty.
Why is this so freaking hard?
I also asked if tires might be counterfeit and Firestone's response was "anything is possible these days". Hmmmm

I believe so. I'm thinking they don't want to send to Firestone cuz they will get exposed.
I sure hope Tmobile doesn't start charging me for texts to/from Mexico!
