Are you worried about all that E85 being dumped in there and washing away the assembly lube/oil?

    That scares me...

Hopefully it's all good and roaring around soon...

That would be a slight issue. Lol

That's a lot of fuel. I'm surprised it was even able to light it and somewhat idle at all.

Here’s what happened today. Idling on its own!! One step closer to a “tune”!!!!! Probably be a few more bugs to work out, but my ass that’s been kicked repeatedly, can now heal!! I think....

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted, so here’s an update. Was happy to get it to idle, was trying to find a dyno shop to get the tune smoothed out and a good base, that didn’t go as planned. The shop I was hoping to do it said “it’ll be a cold day in hell” just too busy, they referred me to another shop, they didn’t want to deal with it because if was on Alcohol and their dyno is inside. Called another shop, he was all excited about my combo, but then didn’t think his dyno could “hold” my combo, I tried to convince him but he was cool and didn’t want to waist my money. My mentor told me some things to do, putting the car on the transbrake at different RPMs and recording then analyze that data. After that he figured tune was pretty good. Did find a new problem while doing that, an oil leak from the back of the motor. Thought it was the back of the pan, so I cleaned it up and caked on “the Right Stuff” sealant, I let it dry for like 3 days, put fresh good oil in, and had the intention of driving the car, well, NOPE. Turns out the damn rear main seal is leaking! So now I get to take a bunch of stuff apart, to fix that....... On a positive note, my buddy gave me a fire suppression bottle and pull handle, got that all fabbed up and installed. I’m pretty happy with the way that turned out, and I have room for a bigger bottle if I need it. Also going to try and get the alternator to run off the crank drive, more bracket fabbing in the near future. Maybe before the next GS Nationals I’ll have it “race ready”.,,,,

    Hey Gary,
Super impressed mate. I didn't even know this thread existed. I know of some of the dramas you have had over the years and it is great to see that soon you will be kicking butt and all your efforts will be rewarded.
    Cheers
