Update. here's the backstory on the stage 2 engine. 71 455 bored .10 over, all oil modes, main studs, and short full, we were going to girdle the block but at the time Nick did not have a machinist he could trust installing the girdle, crank was sent to crank specialties in Tennessee in 1990 to be stroked, crank was also polished, KB crank scraper, Nick ordered a set of custom billet connecting rods, Ross racing pistons 10 over. flat top with valve reliefs compression 11.89-1 , 9 way TA double roller chain, TA grooved cam bearings, Oil balance line to the rear, custom Scott brown hydraulic cam, MSD distributor, high volume oil pump, factory oil pan custom 7 quart pan an pick up, TA harmonic balancer, TA hi volume water pump, factory iron stage 2 heads (Unported) New KB roll rockers with KB girdle, TA SPX intake out of the box (NOT Port matched) , carburetors to be used Carter competition series 1000 CFM thermo quad, quick fuel Black diamond 950. Originally we broke the engine in September 2014 we had an issue with the oil pump check valve sticking we were supposed to run the motor again in October but unfortunately I had a life altering event. Today Nick sent me pictures of the bottom end he took the pan off to make sure the bearings were OK which they were. Next stop the Dyno Will keep you posted.
Update, Nick's Dyno Guy has been waiting for a new muffler for the last couple of months it blew apart a couple months back with a high horsepower race motor. Hopefully will be able to run the stage 2 sometime this month.
I think we should both start building wheelchair ramps into drivers side for when things are (or IF) things are done!
There was an issue with the dyno it is since been fixed. Nicks in the process of finishing up an Oldsmobile. The Stage 2 on the Dyno sometime this spring.
