Hey all, Im wanting to plumb a fuel pressure gauge and mount it (temporarily) to my cowl so i can watch it when i race. I've been having some stumbling troubles at the top end and believe it may be fuel delivery. Im not too savvy when it comes to line fittings and the proper way to do this. Any suggestions, and possible correct fittings needed to make this happen would be highly appreciated! thanks Heres my setup now. (mechanical pump)
OK, this is what you need, https://www.summitracing.com/parts/rus-670340 You can then buy an inexpensive fuel pressure gauge and run braided line so you can tape it to the windshield, or you can buy an electrical gauge with sender as I did. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/fue-71512 https://www.summitracing.com/parts/atm-3361
Thank you Larry, that helps a lot. What do i need for the port on the side? just a barbed fitting for the hose? Id love to go electric and never look back, but man thats a pretty penny! i'll grab a cheapo and some line just for this troubleshooting and maybe go electric in the future.
The Russel fitting has a 1/8 NPT opening. Years ago, I was able to buy a ready made 3 ft. braided line with fittings on both sides. You could use a barbed fittings like this , https://www.amazon.com/Legines-Brass-Hose-Fitting-Adapter/dp/B0753BB8YP and use rubber hose.
