What does LOL mean? I see it on this site and others but have no idea what it means. Actually, someone sent me an E-mail last night with these letters but I didn't want to show my computer ignorance by asking them what it means. Thanks o No:
LOL = laughing out loud. Lots of other acronyms, too. Try a web search & you'll be amazed. Shorthand isn't for the "administrative assistants" (they used to be called secretaries) anymore, apparently. Getting humor or other intangibles into the written word is a lost art, so many resort to this sort of thing. At least we have these... :beer Devon

I can't repeat the other acronym here I'm not a geek, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn once. I really don't use too many acronyms - just a few of the standards. It does help to know what they are, though, when you find yourself cruising the web a lot.
Hello, New User Here. Yes, I have a question. I own a 1993 Riviera..I live in Ohio, it is bitter cold outside and I am experiencing a strange sound when I turn my vehicle...especially when I turn left. I am at present warming up my car so that I can check and add power steering fluid if needed. Yes, I am a girl and as soon as a lot of mechanics see a girl in a nice Riviera the price goes up. I have some mechanical knowledge as I am a production support in a manufacturing facility. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks...TJ
