The introductory price of $399 will end as soon as the first shipment arrives in; the same way our 71 grilles did. They were $579 preorder and $629 after we recieved them in for shipment. The 70 grille will probably end up retailing over $500.

You can place an order at our website The Parts Place Inc. or by placing an order over the phone at 630-365-1800. We just need a Name, Credit Number, Billing and Shipping Address and a Phone Number. Your credit card will not be charged until your order ships. Please do not post order through this board.

    Shipping is roughly $20-30.

As far as the amount as how many coming in at first, we recieve a limited amount by air freight to fill back orders and get them out to the public for approval. Then our stock order comes in 2-4 weeks later. Production runs range anywhere from 500-2500 at a time.

We want to put a superior part out there for a minimal price.

As a note: our tool makers have all the grilles...

I was working on the currunt grill being made. I will as I have stated be offering these as soon as I secure my deal. I will, as everyone knows will pack them to survive. And ship them as fast as they are paid for, ONCE I secure my deal. But as always and its like Ive always said we need more than one person making the same part  NOT

PPI, is Joe the one posting here for PPI? If so, can you add your name to your posts??

If you are going to make the 70 GS grill, you better consider making the body painted chin piece, the 2 stainless "J" pieces and the stainless "V" piece in order to sell a complete grill.

    Just for your information:

Not all 70 Skylark grills had the 4 trim pieces as stated above that are on the 70 GS grill. So, if someone is buying your grill to make a GS or replace a Skylark grill, it will be incomplete. Those 4 pieces are very simple to make and I believe I have stated this previously as a needed item.

I have attached a pic of an NOS GM 70 GS grill w/trim installed.

painted chin pieces would be nice to have since so many used ones are pretty rusty. looks fairly easy to repro. ( easy for a stamped steel piece. )

    Great News

I need a 70 and a 67. I have seen the 71 that The Parts Place repoed and it was a great piece. I will get in on the per order of the 70 because the last NOS 70 sold for 1100 on ebaY. The 67 will be next but the 70 gets painted first. :TU:

A super nice, brand new, stronger than the original 70 grille thats MADE IN THE USA and complete and doesn't need painted, studs, etc. for $399 vs the $1000+ these things commonly go for??? I will be calling you all soon to put in a pre order. The 67 grilles should be next I think. These new grilles will put a dent in the overpriced 67-71 grille market. Thanks PP for doing these. :beer

I would figure if a run of 100 67's were done they would sell like hotcakes. Faster than the 70's which are already available. I know I would buy two. Let's try to get this thing going A.S.A.P. Please and ThankYou.

Once it gets further along in the production phase. It's still to early to figure it out. Sorry

    2 here!

If the pre order for the '67s would be $399; I'd do 2 for sure. 3 if they are in the $350 range.

I don't own either a 67 or 70.....yet, but my vote goes to...........67 grille, which co-incidentally, pumped the 67 to 1st place in this poll. :TU: :beer

Some day, I'll have a 67 GS convert.

    Pictures of GS grills

I would like someone to post pictures of the different grills that were made for each year that everyone is interested in.
I am confused on the differences between grill styles for the 70-72 cars, metal, plastic, GS, Custom, Skylark etc.
    Thanks
