20201021_124908.jpg A friend and I drove from the R.I. southern east coast corner to and across connecticut to possibly purchase some parts we had been talking about on this board. I had talked to him several times, and the very serious sounding man left few clues to figure out where he was coming from. I've been buying, restoring skylark and Gs's for years and met many buick enthusiasts, but this man left the biggest impression on me. GS fred, or fred Weisse met us in his driveway parking lot surrounded by several skylark with a big smile. We visited with him for 2 hours. All the parts are in great condition. He is so passionate abot this whole buick things most of us are. A large garage is full of every part you can imagine. I made a great friend, and am already planning another trip perhaps before he does his snow bird trip to florida this winter so he and his wife can spend 3 months with their grand children. We drove back to R.I. with my friends high top van with quite a few parts including a 1970 gs hood in perfect condition. Thank you Fred, till next time. Did you get to see Fred's legendary time machine that he uses to go back in time to get all the mint NOS rarer than T-rex teeth hard to find parts in original packaging and he's got like 12 of them:p:p. Fred is great people, I've bought from him before and wouldn't hesitate to again:).
