Does anyone have or can make me templet of the rear spoiler mounting showing the hole placement for a 72 GSX?
I thought the trunk lid a the dimples pressed into it at production, where u would drill for the spoiler.
The dimples are on the inner structure for mid-70 thru 72 trunk lids. They are the locations where the nut, screw, and inner brace slide up against the inner skin. These need to be a certain diameter to slide the inner brace thru. You still need to locate and drill the 4 holes on the outer skin. Duane
It will place itself unless you want to reshape the pedestals. Line the pedestals up to the deck lid then sand the rear of the spoiler to line up with the quarter extension,...up to a certain degree of course,....only use a fiberglass spoiler the TPP plastic ones are absolutely garbage
Hole size is 1 1/8 hole saw I'm pretty sure,..there will only be about 1/8 between the holes need a good bit of room to get the braces in there,....ight do on the braces if you choose to use them,..they will need to be shaped a little or when you tighten them up they will distort the decklid,...they are aftermarket after all,...I myself use a fender washer bent to accommodate the shape of the decklid,..no chance of distortion and does the same job
