I talked to the seller yesterday, and he said they are going to be continually listing items nearly every day. Lots of nice or NOS parts coming up for sale. I had to grab the Buick CB radio this morning. A friend in the club has been looking for that exact one for over 20 years.
If I were to list mine I would never put them both out there at the same time. You split the bidding crowd, and probably keep the price from being bid up.
I am disappointed in myself. I should have bid and maybe won one of these.. Now, I am sorry about it..Damn it.
I was the 2nd high bidder and was willing to put in a higher bid at the very end of the auction but, my iphone notified me about 5 minutes late. Probably a good thing as I really didn't need it.
I know you try to be fair and you're not in it for the $ per se, but you should make (good) $ off it. It's a unique product with (afaik) no excuses. Hmmm. Should've put my initials on all those NOS boxes. Based on the prices that he listed the other parts for, he might be listing a lot but... Very reasonable prices afaic. Hard to imagine the PP getting into what would certainly be a low volume part and that will almost undoubtedly not be correct.
Why wouldn't they want to be anonymous? I get hounded for wheels all the time, why would the new owner want to set themself up for that. Duane PS. The best time to sell car parts is not a couple of weeks before Christmas. Mark simply decided to sell off some of the parts he had collected over the years, as he is going thru his inventory.
Bidders on eBay are already anonymous to everyone except the seller since the bidders full user name is not shown to anyone else. The only way the buyer can be set up to be hounded is if the seller gives the bidder's info away which will not be the case here with Mark R.
If he finds an NOS 71 Skylark hood release pull, I am bidding it up to $600 just to avoid using the cheap coat hanger one I got from TPP.....
