Happy Memorial weekend Everyone. May it be a positive time of Remembrance and Honor for those we have lost. We will be having a few gatherings over the weekend to BBQ and enjoy the time here. I will be preparing the Supercat FED to run in the local Memorial Parade Monday. Going to barbque with family tomorrow. Monday will be a hang out day with time taken out to reflect on those I knew who gave it all. Honor will be given to all who were lost, especially my fellow Viet Nam vets.
We have some things planned, mostly relaxing things. The highlight will be meeting a group of friends to see the Top Gun sequel. Thank you to all who have served and sacrificed for this great country that we live and thrive in!
On Memorial day we will hang our large 48-star flag out in memory of those who gave all. As it is an antique, it only hangs on Memorial and Independence Days, and only in good weather. I had the stripes restitched this past year, but the tailor (yup, that's who did it) said that the fabric is beginning to get a little tired. I'll record the Indy 500 this PM and watch it tonight. I enjoy the race, but I still miss Jim Neighbors singing Back Home in Indiana during the opening ceremonies.
Hoping everyone is having a great weekend. 2 BBQ's done, dragster is just about ready for the Parade Monday morning. I'll be planting the trees Monday afternoon as we got a bunch of rain yesterday and the ground is pretty muddy. Let's hear what is going on
