I rebuilt the engine in my 1970 Wildcat, and I went with the TA Performance Stage 1 heads. I still have the original iron heads if someone wants them. All springs/valves still in (I'm sure they need freshening up; I just took them off and set them aside but the engine was running when I tore everything down for a rebuild.) I'm in Houston if you can pick them up, or I'll box them up if you want to arrange shipping.
Define good , but yeah I think so? My 71 Buick..Need a set of virgin small CC heads for my pure stock build..
I was just hoping that, if I hold on to them for a while, they would go to a good use; pretty much anything other than just re-selling them. If you have a use for them, I really don't mind setting them aside until you come through. I've only owned the car for about eight months, so I don't have any first-hand knowledge about the heads' life, other than they are the correct for my engine. I just finished the rebuild on the engine, and it didn't show any signs of being significantly rebuilt before, so I expect the heads are pretty "virgin" as well. I had decided to go with the TA Performance heads before I started the rebuild, so it wasn't anything about the head condition that discouraged me from using them. Just touch base with me when it gets closer to April!
