Not sure where you read that, but the instructions for the BreakerlessSE say different,

Aftermarket tachometers frequently require switched 12 volts. I would think most would get that from the fuse block or other source, NOT the coil +

I read that in the Lectric Limited FAQ page and my car has the factory tach.

Maybe I just saw tach and was curious. Aftermarket makes sense.

Well, I have been driving it for several days with no stalling! Fingers crossed!! I wonder if it was the coil or the ground?? I will tell you after a summer of being annoyed at every traffic light, it's nice to get in the car and go somewhere.... so part of me is a lot less curious and a lot more willing to move on. But I will eventually try to determine the root cause. Tremendous thanks to all the folks on the thread that took time to weigh in - I would not have solved it without all the collective wisdom. FYI -- out of pocket cost for repair exactly $0!! No parts cannon deployed.

    Good to hear!

Also good to hear Lectric Limited's troubleshooters aren't clueless.
