    Guy,
After 6 months true sober, you start to lose the cravings & thoughts of it.
After that point it get easier & easier to stay true to yourself.
    I'm six years plus sober.

The older I get, the more I know I need to lean on my faith.

My most heartfelt congratulations, and sincere admiration. It takes real willpower to face your addictions and hold onto your convictions, as stated, one day at a time. I only hope I can be as strong if required.

Thank you Chuck. It’s the hardest thing I’ve been through in my life.
Worth it, if it helps anyone else.

I did and still do to the best of my ability. 29yrs this sept. The hardest part for me in the beginning was telling myself that I could no longer drink for the rest of my life. An "old timer" told me that I didn't have to quit for the rest of my life, I just didn't have to drink today. Every morning I just ask to not drink today.
