Back in the 90's my friend built an 85 Regal drag car with a GTP/Scott Brayton Indy motor. It had the fuel injection system from the GTP cars and the block from an Indy motor. The "manual" from Buick engineering was a loose leaf notebook with everything typed up by someone from Buick. Had hand written notes in it. He died in 2020 and we have lost track of the car. Nastiest sounding motor I have ever heard.

I remember going to Kustom Speed Shop when I was a kid to get parts. It was only a few miles from the Buick plant. Not very big or fancy.

Thanks for sharing your info fellas. I knew the basics of the stage 2 package, but it's really cool hearing first hand from guys that were there.

Me too! I grew up in Flushing, MI. It was a frequent stop for me in the mid to late '80's, even if just to talk with Dave Lunkas and drool over speed parts I couldn't afford. I still remember when Dave died in a street race on James P. Cole Blvd in Flint.

The B4B could be purchased to fit a Holley which what was intended for the S2 package. Later, the B4B would also be made to fit a q-jet.

A year and a half later:eek: as I wanted to know also.
Jim W mentioned on a blue print spec build the Stage 2 "11 to 1" pistons were around 12+ to 1 with the smaller cc of the Stage 2 factory heads and .010 in the hole.
He had to use thicker .055 gasket and a .040 in the hole on a virgin block to get it a snitch below 11 to 1.
Were their 2 pistons I don't know though..
