Nice car! My son and I were bitten by the same bug not long ago...pretty nice ride. It reminds me a lot of the G body I used to drive right after high school. I always wanted a turbo car when they were new, but couldn't swing it back then.
Welcome to the dark side. I have the same Kennebell air filter & airdam. Very true about the temperament of these cars, looks as though the engine has a good combo. Push 23lbs w/ Alky and watch your rear view mirror fill with Hellcats and tweaked diesels...mainly diesels. Stay away from Godzillas and other awd imports they are real competition and the moment you lose traction you've lost.
Thanks George, and all for the kind words. I love the ride, the t tops and seats are my favorite. I have the same type buckets in my 71 GS and they are so comfortable, the ride height is perfect. I only bought it because I went back to work. Instead of buying a new daily driver I figured I'd keep mine and use the Turbo T for commute. I thought I had my bread route sold, and was enjoying retirement for the last 6 months. The kid backed out, he couldn't get the funding. I have another buyer and I should be out by August which will still get me some summer time. I have to finish that 442. Honestly I would much rather have a 69 GS 4 speed, which I'm still in search of. I fell in love with Don's (fastest 430) a couple of years ago, the blue 69 GS 455 4 speed. Unfortunately I was a day late and dollar short then, and it's long gone now but that was probably the nicest I've seen as far as what I was looking for. I actually reached out to him but it's on it's second owner now. So I got the next best thing, but I'd sell everything for that 69 or one close to it.
