My guy ran out of his stash and I have several cars that either need it, or are coming down the pike that will need it soon. Figured I would ask here first before I start checking vultures on eBay.
Adam, do you need it because you're not certified or are you just looking for it cheap? I know one of the ebay sellers that's always selling 5-6 can lots out of Rehoboth, MA. But he won't cut me any deals, I've already tried to do deals with him. He's not cheap, the same cost as everybody else, plus shipping. If I knew that you were looking when Mike was here a week ago, maybe I could have hooked him up with the guy because I'm cert'ed.
I’ve got a couple leads so far.. Hoping to find as cheap as I can, but I know I can’t be too choosy with R12
After seeing this thread I looked on eBay to see what it's going for these days. Averaging $30-35 a can and then there's shipping. Geez....
I sold all mine a couple years ago on feeBay, insuring that I get another A/C car someday, lol. Tried selling it on here at a discount to help everyone out but somekaren posted something on my thread about having to be certified (which of course I knew & had the requisite wording on eBay) so I just deleted the thread.
Dan, you sure you don't have three cans left? I don't give a crap if you're certified. Is this enviro-safe stuff any good? https://www.ebay.com/itm/R12-R-12-S...-/283656884814?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292
I use the enviro-safe in my 84 Regal with R12 ran for years until I blew an AC line then I converted to r 134
Same brand but not the exact stuff I used then https://www.ebay.com/itm/R-12-R12-A...igerant-support-Artic-3-4oz-cans/283617377125
Well that's probably the easiest route instead of the r134 conversion. I remember last time my r12 a/c worked, it threw ice cubes out the vents at you..
Called one of my suppliers who said no go on the 12. Has been no stock for the last couple years. I know its still out there.
