Anyone know where I can find a RH Inner Fender Repair kit for a 69 Skylark/GS350? Once I pulled the radiator core support I noticed the area under the battery had some rust damage, which I'm reading is quite common. Been looking online and finding out that inner fender wells for a 69 are pricey, cheaper to repair them. Thanks in advance.
Mike has the core support repair kit, not the inner fender. Try opg, CARS, year one, etc: https://www.yearone.com/Product/196...69-1970-1971-1972-buick-skylark-gs-parts/bn18
The OP was asking about inner fender patches. If he is indeed asking about inner fender patches, and not core support repair patches, then Mike does not make them. I don't think the 68-69 battery side (right side) repair kits are listed anywhere, however I believe some guys on the board have used the 70-72 repair parts with success. Again this is for the inner fenders. Duane
Also, did you find a core support? Wheatbelt closed up, but try speedway automotive in Phoenix - 800 425 8960 or 800-945-1075. https://www.salvage-parts.com/junk-yards/speedway-automotive-phoenix
Yeah, Mike responded back, said inner fender well patches are nowhere to be found. Said I could use the 70-72 repair patches, but they would need to be heavily modified to fit. Looks like I'm on the search for potentially a RH inner fender well in addition to a radiator core support.
I also have this issue, but looking at the photos of the 1970 repair kit and our inner fender wells, I don't think it's a "Major modification"? It's sheet metal and welding.
@Max Damage you looking to use the 70 repair kit on the 69 fender wells anytime soon? I'm still in the tear down process, not gonna be at that point for a bit. If you do use it, let me know how it goes. If it goes good, I might be going that path as finding 68/69 inner fender wells hasn't been that easy, same with the radiator core support. I found one on ebay, but after searching this site for reviews on the seller I opted to stay away, not very good reviews from the forum members.
Sounds like Bikerfox. I am not at that point either, but I am working on rust issues, so I am getting there. I pulled the carpets in my car last week and it looks like in the left rear floor boards are a bit thin and have a couple of pin holes.... Ugh. Still, looks workable. Plus If it turns out worse, there is always Auto Metal Direct...
You guessed correctly my friend. Yeah, I got some patching to do in the trunk. My floor boards look fine for now, need clean them up a bit to see how much sheet metal I have left on them. When I picked the car up I noticed the front seats had house carpet in as floormats over the original carpet, which I assumed it wasn't a good sign. Guess we'll see once they are all cleaned up.
