Get them now. My electra now drives almost like a modern car. The suspension somehow soaks up bumps better than it did before and the handling is significantly tighter. I had KYB's on the rear and sensatrac on the front before. It's like a night and day difference.

    get them nao

You got part numbers and a supplier?

I actually picked them up from a Porsche parts specialist out in Georgia called auto Atlanta. The owner is a Buick guy and you will have to speak directly to him as the parts guys will have no clue what you are talking about. 800 792 4944
I will get the part numbers when I get home. They appear to be from race car dynamics. I know the rears are the same listing as full size Pontiacs but the fronts are some sort of odd part number.

    HIGHLY recommended

Went from KYBs to Bilsteins a few years ago on my 70 GS-455. My results were like yours. Lots of research resulted in LOTS of opinions good and bad about very shock I could find but the only negative I could find regarding the Bilsteins was that they were a few dollars more than the other guys.

yeah the Bilsteins are twice the money of the KYBs. I have been told that they will last the lifetime of the car. I knew the handling would improve but had no idea just how dramatically the ride would improve as well.

Yeah, they're not cheap. $379 for front/rear set for my 68.

Sorry about the delay. I have a new gsd puppy that has destroyed most of my house and took apart the boxes the shocks came in.
the part numbers for my 68 year electra are
    front 55 r027
    rear 55 r069
these are race car dynamics part numbers though.

The bilsteins numbers are more difficult to read but this is what I came up with
    front
    24-009492 and F4-b36-0949ho
    rear
    F4-be5-b498-t0

The first set of numbers match the numbers in the PST catalog.

Maybe I need something like this on the Skylark. I put Sensa-tracs on it, and it's pretty squirrelly, but better than what I had.

What is a "gsd" puppy? I want to be sure to avoid that kind of carnage.

They're $214 per pair for the fronts on my '67. Part number is BIL 55R027. I've had the sensa-tracs in my vehicle for more than 12 years...maybe an upgrade is in order. If these are that good, maybe I'll give 'em a shot.

    German shepherd dog.
Shes 3 months old and is like a freaking velociraptor running around my house.

The Sensa tracs are complete garbage in comparison to the Bilsteins. Its a night and day difference.

I got a set of four from the guy in Atlanta for $413 shipped.

Yep, Bilsteins are great shocks, Sensa Trac and KYBs GR2s and Gas-A-Just are junk by comparison. It's amazing what a difference good shocks can make which is why whenever I do the suspension in my Skylark I'm not messing around and am going straight to coilovers with adjustable shocks. If I wasn't though, Bilstein all the way!

Nice looking dog. When we move to the country, we'll be getting a German Shepherd or something like it. My attack Maltese don't spread much fear.

The PST shock shown are not correct for the RIV, Riv only has one bottom bolt going through the rubber. And any body notice that the sway bar they list is the same front and back? Same hrdware too. Im not sure how to make that work.

Did you read the fine print under the photo? It says 'generic photo - actual part my vary".

212e4a03.x120.jpg Hmmmmm, if they cant put an actual photo , do they expect me to actually trust them? And will they be truthful over the phone? I doubt it.
