I bought one a long time ago. It was "OK" due to the fact that it is built to cover a wide range of applications.....none of them well. Suggest you use someone like Ken at Everyday Performance. It will be custom built to your specific application, which is always has a better outcome.
Alan, For what you will pay for that Q-jet, Ken or Mark can build you one calibrated specifically for your engine. If that Jet carburetor is re manufactured, well, it's garbage. Cliff R won't even work on them, they are that bad.
Years ago, I put a Jet Stage 2 on my 350. It was just set up way too lean. Calibrated for a chevy motor, and not right for a Buick. Just too lean, so I ended up having Ken build me one, and it was perfect
