  3. The "Group Buy" for the 1967-68 Deluxe Steering wheel recasting is now officially "Open". Now is the time to start sending in the wheels. The latest date that the wheels must be received by Kochs is 31 March 2025 The cost for each wheel is $750. The only "up front cost" is your shipping the wheel. If you send in more than one wheel, each additional wheel will cost $700. Shipping and insurance to Kochs and return shipping will be extra. You will be contacted by Teresa to make payment for the wheel(s) and return shipping and insurance when your wheel(s) is complete.     I didn't take a real close look but I'd guess most of the exhaust work would be done in the bowl and roof.

    A lot to go through. But in the end flow numbers are just a reference tool. Et and mph is the true rule. And. Dennis and KB realized that. At least back in their day. That’s why the so much testing on the track. Different world back then.

    I believe these are stage 3 Kenne bell heads I have. I think they may be a later set. They are stamped HRE673 by the head porter. They are S1 1240149 service replacement castings also. Hoping to use these on my stock appearing build after new valves and a valve job.

    Hey George did you ever get a chance to see what was stamped on the heads? Im still trying to find out what HRE stands for that is stamped on mine.

    Ran across a set of these almost 25 years ago, customer had bought them from KB in the early 80's I think. WE flowed them at modern standards, I still have sheet in my files, they flowed what you would expect a mild port Iron head would flow.

    I always felt that Stage 1.5 instead of Stage 3 would have been a more appropriate name for these heads, but I guess that name would have hurt KB from a marketing perspective.
