The car was featured in one of the musclecar magazines in the late ‘80s, too.

I think it was Guide to Muscle Cars magazine because I ran across my copy recently. If I can put my hands on it again I'll scan it and post it here. I also have some photos of the car from the GS Nats in the 90s that I'll try to find.

Not quite as great a story but my '71 GS convertible was special ordered by a single lady. She "didn't want the big engine" unfortunately, lol. She did option it out pretty nicely though (incl. N25 & posi) & picked a great color combo. She traded in a '68 Skylark convertible. There were some ladies into cool cars back then.

My 6th grade teacher special ordered a pink '74 Mustang convertible.

Could you imagine, lol. I take way more pics now. I was terrible at it back then. Of course wouldn't want much of what we did back then documented:).

It'd still be worth trying to run that down. I'd put $ on it that the car hasn't moved. I think we'd have somehow heard about it by now if it had.

Wow, I have never seen a Buick wheel like that..
Kinda looks like it will take a hup cap but with the trim ring and center emblem it becomes a rally type wheel??

Boy oh boy I’d have a TON of cool pics if we had cell phones with cameras back in the “old days”
Back then you had to mentally think “I wanna take some pics, so I gotta bring my camera, oh geez, gotta get film, batteries, maybe flash cubes”
Nowadays it’s just a reach in your pocket:cool:

That is what the Super Sport wheels looked like in 71-72. The 70 wheels with the same name are a completely different design, hence all the confusion with these wheels.

And then to add even more confusion, in '70 there were F4 "Sport Wheels" (15" w/G60-15) and V7 "Super Sport Wheels" (14")

Years ago I bought a 70 Stage-1 4-speed from the same area Vickie Jo lived. This car was also originally owned by a female and was purchased new in the greater Cincinnati/northern KY area. It was brown on brown, bench seat and was originally equipped with wire wheel covers! I obtained Sloan documentation on it. The original wheel covers were long gone but the car was otherwise mostly original. I found an old registration in the glove box for a VW Beetle that had the original owners name and address on it and was able to contact her.

The old Beetle to GSX trick. Girls pull that stunt all the time.

    Q) Hugger, is your Avatar from Raising Arizona? Great movie! Did you pick it for that reason?
