Starting to post some parts for sale off this car. Rear defroster setup and dipstick listed in parts for sale section. PW setup almost finished restoring and will be listed later this week. Disc brake setup and wheels went to a friend and tilt column already sold.

Success! I spent considerable time restoring and installing the cruise specific parts out of the trans from this car into my 66. Took it for test drive last night and it works perfectly. Worked first time I pushed the switch on the dash. I already had collected the wiring, dash switch and other 66 specific cruise parts over the years, so this finished out the system with the transmission parts.

Very cool! Your car is the only one I've heard about with a functioning factory cruise control setup.

Mine is the only 66 I have seen with it since 1988 when I saw a 66 convertible in my hometown with it (lost track of the car about 199o). I have a friend in Canada that has a loaded 67 4-dr HT that has it and it works. There was also a 67 Skylark for sale in the middle of the US that had it a few years back. Then there of course is the one that was the subject of this thread that donated its parts to complete the system on my car....

So a ‘66 has a different knob? I guess that’s the first one I’ve ever seen on a ‘66. So it lights up when engaged? I like it!

Yep, knob, switch and bezel are 66 Skylark unique. One of the rarest Buick parts ever made!
