    That’s the baby.

    PS,
If you look at the brass base it will have the month/year stamped into one of the flat areas where a wrench/socket would fit. If it had 9-69 then it was made in September 1969.

There you go, so it was made in June of 1969, and would be perfect for an early 1970 car.

    PS,
Just as an aside, I made up 2 Sockets to fit these vacuum trees so I could both harvest and install them without breaking them. One I kept and the other I gave to a friend for X-mas.

I used a Snap-on deep impact socket and had a slot machined into them so the vacuum tree “spruces” would slide into the slot. It basically looked like a really deep line wrench where it slid onto the hex part.

I used to ship that socket all over the country so guys could use it. I think James Weinman used it twice in Texas, and one time it came back from another state, as it passed around to a couple of guys before it came back to me.

It probably has more miles on it then I have driven my restored cars.

Got a few boxes of '70-'72 Olds 455 engine and bracketry pieces in a garage clean out. Believe have that "tree" if anyone else is looking.
