Loose Windage Tray

    Just pulled my 132k 350-4 bbl PP code engine for timing chain replacement and cosmetic clean up . Upon dropping the oil pan I see 2 bolts that secure the tray missing, along with the corners of the pan around the screw holes. Bottom of pan had light sludge and nothing else .The one screw securing the tray was very loose. Is this a common issue with the 350’s ?

    Not common, but not saying it cant happen.

    Curious as to where the 2 bolts and the 2 corner tabs went

    Someone had that pan off previously. So...

    I put loctite on mine to help me sleep better at night :D

    I would not be concerned, just button it back up with blue locktight.

    Upon closer inspection,after spinning the engine upside down, the other 2 bolts were in their respective holes- also finger tight. The holes on the Windage tray where the bolts should attach were both sheared off . Looking like I had good timing to start this project when I did
