Lug nuts

I had an 'incident' recently and now I am in the market for a set of new lug nuts for my 74 Lesabre. The car is far from perfect and never will be but as long as it doesn't break the bank I do try to get the correct stuff. So the question is what is the correct lugnut for a 74 Lesabre with Buick wheels? I'd assume Buick used the same kind of lug nut for all their cars with Buick wheels in a specific model year.

The car does have lugnuts on it but I'm pretty sure they are not original to the car. Looking online I can find lugnuts that look similar of course. But there are so many small differences.

Aren't the B body studs and nuts larger than the A body? 1/2-20 vs 7/16-20?

You can feel the quality when you hold them in your hand

Ummm, you guys are weirding me out. Not that there is anything wrong with being a nut lover. I don't judge.

Dave is right, there are two sizes and my big car takes the larger 1/2-20. Hopefully the ones in the link are the bigger ones. I see they have the spherical tops which doesn't seem to be available in the general aftermarket. I take it those are the factory design?

Mitch’s nuts are smooth and spherical with no rough edges like others’ nuts may have. Should be as close to ‘born with’ as can be. Like Jason said, hold them in your hand, roll them around with your thumb and fingers, you’ll appreciate his nuts. I think Mitch appreciates all of us who’ve held them, too.

Your looking for what it known as "Acorn" style nuts, Closed end mag wheel lug nuts in the case of Buick chrome road wheels.

Buick originally used Stainless steel caped lug nuts in that year, I recall struggling with those when I was a young whippersnapper working on my Dad's 74 LeSabre Luxus. The Stainless cap nuts sucked.

I agree that Mitch R's lug nuts are very nice, they were the only ones to use doing a nice restoration, I had several sets pass thru my hands.

Ahhhh, the factory lugnuts were capped. I've experienced those on an 80's vehicle. I understand why my car doesn't have them anymore.

I assume they looked like the ones shown on Mitch's page. Because none of the readily available aftermarket look exactly like that.
