Probably a good time to start a fire in the fireplace.

 

Our pond has a thin layer of ice across it. Early for the last few years.
I'd say it is time.

Nothing wrong with clearing snow from your boat, then breaking (thin) ice to get to the fishing hot spots, after the dock has been shoveled.

 

I was hoping to take the Boat out for Fishing one more time.
