I'm not bragging my any means. Well maybe this will be the beginning . It's getting nicer out and I need to clean up some of this mess . I started putting the motor in 5 years ago. Never finished putting the trans cross member in it. In the last week I trapped 5 mice in the garage hopefully their address wasn't 455 Buick Engine Lane.

It's my accumulated 30k + project car that's been here for over 10 years. Parts and parts and parts for this thing are everywhere. I did buy a cart last spring to house some parts to get organized.

The rear end has been sitting on the floor for probably 10 years. It needs the opinion seal replaced it bought that 5 or 7 years ago but never got around to it. I think the new seal us sitting on the roof of the 64 in the picture.

Just maybe 2021 will be the year of this car and my wagon.......maybe.

Have you turned the engine over in all those years? It may be stuck from setting.

As of last fall it wasn't stuck but was getting hard to turn. I bought so ne Mystery oil last night to put down the cylinders. I figure i'll have to prime it. When it was on the engine stand in would turn it over.

    I'll cross my fingers.

Max Damage I'm working on it!

Just be patient and make sure it turns fully with a wrench before you fire it up...

Dear Brian and V-8 Buick longroof fans,

I'll be the first to admit that 2021 is starting out as a really tough year for most of us, but I certainly wish you the best in getting your wagon up and running!!

    Cheers, Edouard

You can do it! Baby steps... get a big white board and list a few items to get started on. Setup a decent stereo out in the garage and start cleaning and getting your plan together. You can do it! Start a thread about your progress and post updates each week even if it’s only a tiny step forward ensure you get a little bit done.

That's all I have is time and patience. I could have probably restored every car I have here in the last 4 years that I've been off work. My attention and $$$ go elsewhere.

2021 can only get better I hope. This afternoon I have to pull the wagon's front wheels off and try to break loose the calipers. It's been sitting in the same spot outside all winter buried in snow. It's like Ground Hog Day with this thing though. Last fall I had to change a caliper to get this thing moved. Now both wheels are locked up. It has to get mobile so I can get some scrap out of the garage and make space.

My garage was actually almost clean last year until I went on a few parts runs. They were great parts lot deals but allot of stuff. My 3 car garage could only house 1 car after all of that. But I sold about 85% of the stuff over the winter. I need to clean the space and condense the rest.

I did get the wagon running 2 days ago but it sounds like it developed a tick on the right side. I'm hoping it's something simple like bad rocker arm. That's a next week project.

Unfortunately I have parts for that car everywhere too.

Overall my focus really changed once I bought my newer convertible Camaro about 5 years ago. The family loads up , turn the key and drop the top. After that I sold my running and driving Buick and was left with these dead head cars here. I still have 3 Buick s here and 1 at my buddy's shop.

We will see what today brings.

Brian I turn my original matching number motor that's on a stand, from my 71 GS350 4 speed car, at least 2x's a year just to make sure it doesn't lock-up. One day soon I like to rebuilt it and get it back where it belongs.

I could make a list and still get nothing done. My wife regularly asks me what I'm going to do. I tell her....I go out to the garage and get distracted on something else. 99.9% usually something unimportant too. It appears I can't focus on one thing since I have a billion projects (CAR, HOUSE , ETC). She just shakes her head at me. LOL

When the motor was sitting on the stand I was better at remembering to spin it. Now not so much. I was thinking that motor would have been up and running way before now.. When I took it out of the car in my Avatar photo I had about 8 cars here I could have put it in. Instead I put it in a stand. I was too busy parting cars and working a day job.

I feel you sir. My car hasn’t been on the road since 2004. It sat for 10 years and when I finally got it to my new location I put a ton of time and money into it but still have so much to go and no time or money to do it.

A few years ago I tried the easy way out. I listed all the Buicks I had and all of the parts on Craig's list for 25k takes all. (6 or 7 cars and a garage full if parts) Not 1 reply to my ad. I couldn't believe it.

I guess in a good sense it didn't work out because I've sold some of the lot at more than 3 times what I asked for it all. Bad news I still have 4 cars and a bunch if parts.

The funny thing in the last 6 months I had someone off Facebook said he's been watching my items/sales and wanted to know if he could come out and buy everything as a package .......where was he 5 or 6 years ago?

I declined since I just didn't want anybody snooping around here with all that's going on in the world.

If you need a friend reach out to me with a message. I understand the challenges of being overwhelmed and I’m also not getting enough done in my garage.
