We got to meet the Legendary Hemi Killer himself Richard Lassiter and listen to the real story of the day he pulled the stump out of the ground! My son ( JollyGood) and Richard
I guess we'll continue pics here rather than start a new thread: Two 3-speed '70 Stage 1s - One ea. hardtop & convertible.
One of my favorites other than if I were to get another (pref. '66) it'd have to have buckets/console - My old one was same colors & like this one loaded w/nearly if not every option. One car I wish I'd kept.
Apologies to the owner of the silver '72 - I failed to get the MCACN signboard showing who owns it. The Sapphire Blue '67 really stood out as being exquisite. And Brent's (@72STAGE1) engine display was very nice!
Truly is always an amazing experience going to MCACN. So many 1 of 1, 1 of X or 1 of XX cars &/or amazing stories - I take the time to stop & read every sign board. I don't know where else you can see such vast variety of such excellent & rare cars. No way pics can do it justice. Highly recommended. Surprisingly, there were no stepchildren in the show and no '73-4 Gran Sports. There was a display of wagons that was sorely missing a '68-9 Sportwagon 400.
I had a extremely enjoyable time once again at MCACN show!!! Absolutely the best car show on earth! I honestly believe that I could spend the better part of a week there, looking over everything and reading about them all. Phenomenal!!! Been kicking around the idea of taking the 64 there next year......if I can get invited! Lol
Frank, owner of the 1 of 15 (very low option) Stage 1 4-sp convertible is @ctauto on here (sorry we didn't catch up - I hung around there for awhile & checked back a few times).
BIG shout out to @ajesh35 for putting together much of the Buick display(s) and always making sure Buicks have great representation here. I'm sure every year that people who've hardly ever seen a GS are exposed. The beautiful '72 Stage 1 convertible "Zone Car" belongs to @chiefsb30 (nice to get to hang out & chat for a few min.). And to have two of the '72 GSX's there... It's a huge expense (time & money) for people to bring a car to the show and a tough time of year to do it. Surely the owners appreciate when people thank them for doing so.
This is it for Buicks. So many notable exceptions that it's hard to choose what "stands out." A "Riviera GS" display would be a neat idea for something different one year as would a Wildcat display. Lots of full size muscle on display this year.
