Here's some more boneyard pics from Stan's Auto Parts, Waterloo, Wi. Crushing out, mostly the older sections of the yard left. The few Buicks in here I posted pics of previously. Packard on the right in the second to last pic has a 4-bbl. flathead 8 in it.

    GStage1 Always looking for parts!

If he is reasonable, I would get back to the 69-70 Cadillacs....if they have deluxe seat belts w/stainless covers...those are good to resell.

Man that is a load of Packards. Wonder if the 57 Clipper has the supercharger.

Are all of those cars going to be crushed? That sucks.

I noticed a few '56-'57 Lincolns in the background. Really sucks these yards are disappearing at a fast rate now. Agenda21 Plan in full swing.

The yards here in Wisconsin have taken some brutal hits in the last 5 years or so. Between the high price of scrap iron and all the old timers who started these yards passing away it's been pretty grim. Most of the vehicles sitting in salvage yards up here are very rusty and unrestorable, but I've seen an awful lot of usable parts on them go away for the metal weight value.

The really rough Packard in the first pic is supercharged, everything seems to be there except for the blower. I'm almost tempted to buy the engine out of it just for the hell of it....

Note the Studebaker wagon with the sliding rear roof....

Another batch.... Most of the snow is gone now and no leaves on anything yet so it's the best time for yarding. May go to a rural body shop about an hour and a half north of me later this week, weather and work schedule permitting. Same story there, it's all going away...

Wow. Just wow. That is a load of cool cars. Ted, you and I have the same eyes, I immediately saw the 56-7 Lincolns too. There seems to be two different blue/white 57 Clipper sedans. One is missing the blower, but does the second one have it? Same story on my 57, missing only the blower.

I know of a collector in Hernando that has a '57 Clipper WAGON that is supercharged. It needs an aggressive restoration.

I wish I had the time and money to go on a shopping spree to salvage as many parts as possible from the yards that are crushing out. I'm sure there's money to be made from these jewels. With the internet it is so easy to hook up buyers and parts...not so much so back in the day when most of these cars were laid to rest

Its sad for me on a personal note as I grew up with weekend trips to the junk yards in central Ohio. My dad had various collector cars in various stages of repair and has worked in the auto body business since the mid '60s. I really developed an appreciation for old cars while rummaging through the old wrecks.

Ted, that wagon would be awesome! It would be a crime to see the Clippers and that 56 400 get crushed. Such rare cars. Heck, it is a crime to see any of those cars get crushed. Bodies may be shot, but there looks to be loads and loads of trim to save. Seriously, where else can one find a complete set of trim for a 55 Constellation (the black and yellow coupe)? I can't remember ever seeing one of those in a salvage.

There are at least 50 Packards in Stan's. Possibly more. I think the other '57 has no engine. Plus the cars there are lots and lots of loose Packard parts squirreled away in various vans and buses. In fact, there are lots of loose parts everywhere including an insane amount of stuff I can't identify. Here's one van with what looks like early-mid '70s Buick stuff spilling out of it.
